    Department Overview

    C.R. England is hiring a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Compliance, Safety, and Accountability (CSA) Specialist.  This exciting opportunity will identify behaviors associated with safety risk; focus on compliance, enforcement, and remediation efforts of those unsafe behaviors.

    Position Summary


    Ideal candidate will be self-sufficient professional, engaging, and possess strong presentation skills. Training and mentoring experience is a plus.  Individual must have the ability to lead and engage large groups of people and be confident in their skills to work independently as needed.



    The CSA Coach will be responsible for managing the company’s CSA profile while coaching drivers and employees on the Behavior, Analysis, and Safety Improvement Categories.


    Essential Job Functions and responsibilities are but not limited to:

    • Manage CSA initiatives
    • Improve CSA measures
    • Communicate with drivers and office employees
    • Create CSA curriculum
    • Identify, report and implement training measures
    • Correct erroneous entries on the Profile through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s rebuttal/DataQ system
    • Communicate with local, state, and Federal authorities
    • Review Carrier Profile for safety violations documented at roadside inspections for accuracy and identifies specific areas of improvement
    • Coach drivers on the impact of CSA
    • Coach employees on the impact of CSA
    • Special projects as directed by upper management
    • Data analysis
    • Coordinate with the Compliance, Safety, Maintenance and Operational teams to increase awareness
    • Present to customers our CSA measures and training plans
    • Manage vendors
    • Approve invoices
    • Submit terminations



    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

    • Comprehension of the FMCSA regulations
    • Knowledge of the safety management system
    • Experience with data management
    • Excellent communication skills, written, oral, facilitative and presentational
    • Engage in review and development of policy and standards compliance plans
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to think creatively and recognize new problems or techniques, devise new approaches, and solutions
    • Experience partnering with others from across business functions
