England, Inc. is hiring a Log Auditor to screen log entries and mentor drivers on proper hours of service to ensure our DOT legal compliance. This position will be based in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Log Specialist is responsible for screening driver logs to ensure Department of Transportation legal compliance. The Primary goal is to protect the organization and our drivers from legal compliance risk, however mentoring and assisting the drivers with their log compliance is also a critical function. As a log specialist you’ll be working with drivers face to face and on the phone educating and mentoring them on proper Hours of Service rules and procedures. You will also work with drivers who are struggling with the Hours of Service rules helping them to stay in compliance with the rules. Researching and validating drivers Hours of Service violations is vital to this process. Finally, being a good communicator is a key to this position and being able to deal with unhappy drivers is vital.
