    Position Summary 

     

    This position is responsible for leading a business unit within the Dedicated Division. Our business requires strong leaders, who think strategically and plan ahead for rapidly changing market conditions while maintaining a positive team oriented attitude. This person must be well organized, able to travel 50-75% and remain engaged with their team and customers at all times.

    Responsibilities

    This position will manage all facets of a transportation operation to ensure high delivery of customer service and fleet profitability. Additionally, the position assists, coaches, mentors individuals with all training and administrative items.  This position is highly demanding and requires or involves:

    • Dealing with multiple customers with diverse operational needs
    • Complete P&L financial responsibility
    • Conflict Resolution, ability to coach team members, and leadership by example.
    • Patience and professionalism.

    Qualifications

    This position is a key leadership role that will provide guidance and instruction to the Dedicated team in order to improve the customer experience, while driving safety and profitability.  The person in this role will:

    • Manage the team on key initiatives for our customers and the company.
    • Hire, train and develop a world class operations team
    • Manage time effectively with minimum supervision
    • Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so at all times
    • Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image.
    • Display and encourage teamwork in the department.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures as set forth by the Corporation and ensure that all employees are knowledgeable of and adhere to all standards set for by the Corporation.
    • 4 year degree in related field is desirable but not mandatory
    • Transportation industry experience is a must
    • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite
    • TMW system knowledge preferred
    • Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter with excellent organizational, communication,  leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision, exercise judgment and adapt to directions from one assignment to another
