    Department Overview


    Business Process Analyst (BPA) will work across the company to help define and refine critical business processes.  Utilizing process mapping and business process reengineering techniques, the BPA will work with company and division leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, and will lead process engineering teams to analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.  This position must be able to lead cross-functional teams through the process of defining objectives, analyzing current state and designing future state.  This person is also key in helping to roll out and adopt changes to process.  This is a key role that is critical to CR England’s growth and improvement strategy.

    Position Summary

     

    In this position you have the opportunity to work in the Information Technology space with one of the largest, most stable, still growing company in the logistics and transportation field.

    Responsibilities

    Job responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

     

    • Leads cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and process owners from various departments and divisions.
    • Works directly with the business managers, vendors, and end user community to understand and analyze business processes, pain points, and opportunities.
    • Partners with business managers, vendors, and the IT staff in the identification, development, and implementation of strategic business process improvements.
    • Conducts comprehensive reviews of all aspects of processes with colleagues to achieve common understanding and agreement.
    • Assists business managers with change management and ensuring adoption of implemented process changes.
    • Analyzes, models, optimizes, documents and facilitates implementation of business processes and information flows.
    • Determines and documents the impact of process changes and clearly articulates choice points between different alternatives, including identifying appropriate metrics for measuring changes.
    • Identify other critical process metrics.
    • Coordinates with vendors, business units, and IT staff to accomplish the needs of the projects.

    Qualifications

    Job qualifications may include, but not be limited to:

     

    • Proven project management and project leadership ability.
    • 3+ years of recent work experience as a Business Process Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner or in a similar job role.
    • Understanding of process engineering techniques. Lean Six Sigma certification desired.
    • Experience documenting process and system requirements.
    • Understanding of software development processes. Familiarity with Agile processes strongly preferred.
    • Experience documenting business processes and workflows.
    • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve multiple, conflicting viewpoints in order to set the scope and outcomes of work.
    • The ability to be a diplomatic change agent, using influence, education and persuasion to build relationships and gain support for change adoption.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in meeting facilitation and presentation.
    • Broad understanding of IT based solutions and technologies preferable.
    • Some database experience and basic SQL skills required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to discuss and explain complex processes, situations, and programs.
    • Familiarity with transportation and logistics industry a plus.
    • Working knowledge of general productivity tools such as MS-Office, Visio, Lucidchart, project management software, wiki, etc.
