    Position Summary

     

    In this position you have the opportunity to work in the operations space with one of the largest, most stable, still growing company in the logistics and transportation field.

     

    *Starting salary: $48K / plus bonus potential 

    Responsibilities

    Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Effective management of the day to day safety program for our Fayetteville, NC operations
    • Conducting conference calls and safety meetings 
    • Managing a portion of workers compensation 
    • The position will require hands on approach of managing 300+ drivers
    • Tracking and reporting damages to customer equipment
    • Occasional weekends and nights will be required
    • Conducting accident reviews and road/skills evaluations
    • Developing and maintaining a proven safety program focused on accident reduction
    • Visit customer locations weekly to outline "best practices" of making deliveries without incident
    • Report weekly on the safety program with drivers and staff
    • Maintain a 3.75 accidents per million miles or less accident rate

    This position will require a self motivated individual who can multi-task and prioritize job duties.

    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Previous driving experience preferred
    • Previous safety management experience
    • Preferably knowledge of trucking industry
