C.R. England, Inc., a 95-year old leader in the transportation industry and the largest temperature-controlled carrier in the world, is hiring full and part-time Weekend Driver/Fleet Managers.  

 

 

Our Driver Managers are the heart of our fast-paced, strategic environment and are the lifeline to our fleet of drivers. Our clients require individuals who think strategically and plan ahead of rapidly changing situations while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude. Driver Managers must be organized and engaged with the team.

Responsibilities

 

The Weekend Driver Manager will manage drivers to ensure a high delivery of customer service. Additionally, the Weekend Driver Manager assists, coaches and mentors drivers with all training and administrative items.

  • Conflict Resolution
  • Extreme Multi-tasking and problem solving
  • Contacting Drivers to Swap Loads
  • Handling urgent situations in a professional manner
  • Tracking Drivers, Loads, and Receivers
  • Strong follow up with issues to appropriate department or individual
  • Responsible for approximately 200 – 240 trucks
  • Working with Load Planners, Driver Managers, and Service Advisors within C.R. England.
  • Negotiating situations to meet expectations of customers and C.R. England.
  • Dealing with Logistical problems
  • Planning future workload

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a professional with excellent communication, management, coaching, leadership and organization skills.

 

This job is highly demanding and requires patience and professionalism. Experience in the transportation industry is preferred. Knowledge of AS400 IT systems, Microsoft Office and related tools are all preferred.
