Department Overview


Our Logistics Coordinators are responsible for each driver in an assigned fleet and for operations that help determine our success.  Our Logistics Coordinators are a key part of keeping our operation running smoothly during and after normal business hours.

Position Summary

 

In this position you have the opportunity to work in the operations space with one of the largest, most stable, still growing company in the logistics and transportation field.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to fleet during business hours
  • Productively manage the company’s tractors / trailers within assigned fleet
  • Increase and monitor on time delivery service to our customers
  • Effectively communicate load status updates to driver and to customers
  • Utilize problem solving skills to resolve complex issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong management, leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems under pressure and time constraints
  • Adaptability to evolving and changing situations
  • Ability to plan strategically
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of AS400 systems, TMW systems and related tools is highly preferred
  • Previous work experience in transportation / logistics is preferred

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • A BA/BS in Business, Management, Logistics or related field
  • A minimum of two years prior work experience in transportation, logistics or related field
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and additional hours as required
