    The Sr. Director, Sales role has responsibility for development and execution of sales strategies to identify prospects, develop opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships in support of company goals for volume, revenue, profitability and asset utilization.  Additionally, the Sr. Director, Sales may also lead a team of other Sales professionals with the same objectives.

    Responsibilities

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Leverage market intelligence to identify prospective customers
    • Develop an ongoing pipeline of opportunities that support all C.R. England and England Logistics objectives for volume, revenue, profitability and asset utilization
    • Strengthen existing and establish new customer relationships

    Essential Functions:

     

    • Establish and maintain customer relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders as necessary to:
      • identify growth opportunities
      • resolve contract, claims, credit, rating and billing issues
      • deliver service, capacity and value to C.R. England customers
    • Develop, communicate and execute an ongoing schedule of sales calls
    • Successfully complete all training requirements
    • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and accomplish goals with minimal supervision
    • Practice and observe all C.R. England safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so at all times
    • Exhibit professional judgement, behavior and appearance
    • Treat all individuals with respect, dignity and fairness
    • Collaborate productively with all C.R. England colleagues and supervisors
    • Adhere to all C.R. England policies and procedures

     

    Qualifications

    Physical Requirements:

     

    • Capable of working extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
    • Capable of sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of diverse backgrounds of education, experience and capabilities
    • Capable of visual acuity, with or without correction, sufficient to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, and read extensively

     

    Education and Experience:

     

    • 4 year degree in related field preferred
    • Transportation industry experience preferred
    • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite

    Working Environment and Conditions:    

    • Must have the ability to work effectively on multiple objectives with reoccurring interruptions, changes and delays in a fast paced, dynamic environment
    • Must be able to work in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled area sufficient in size to allow freedom of movement to accomplish tasks
